Q: hi
Can anyone tell what fuse size you have to use for GHD straightners..iv cut the 2 prond plug off and replaced with a 3 pin but still not working...? |

We do not carry out repairs, we recommend any repair work required on ghds to be carried out by ghd themselves. Please contact ghd directly on 01535 651 500. Please note that the ghd IV models come with a two year manufacturers warranty and the previous model with a one year warranty. If you are still under warranty ghd will repair or replace your straightener for no charge.

Q: Hi
I have fine curly hair, I straighten my hair with GHd's but lack volumi in my hair, What ShampooConditoner would you recommend I use to give it volume? |

I would recommend that you take a look at the Sebastian Body Double range. Sebastian Body Double Thick-In Shampoo is formulated with substantive ingredients (conditioning agents, proteins and more) that mimic the substantive properties of human hair, follow this with Sebastian Body Double Thick-In conditioner.
You may also wish to occasionally use a treatment such as Sebastian Body Double Thick-Extreme Leave-in Treatment, an easy to use, 2-step thickening treatment interlocks with hair to expand the diameter of each strand. Fine or thin hair is transformed into thick, fortified hair with double the body.
When styling you should use a product such as Redkens' Full Frame protective volumizing mousse.

Q: Ho much is postage and packaging?? |

Jason Says: Hi there,
Postage is calculated by weight and shipping destination.
Once you have added your products to the shopping cart and entered your address details you are given the postage costs on the next page. However to give you an idea, one ghd hair straightener to the UK is £5 and this includes next working day delivery (deadline for next day delivery is 3pm). Shipping for smaller items such as shampoos to the UK are usually £2.

Q: i have had my ghd straightners for 3 years now, i am dissapointed because the fuse went in them and i needed to put a brand new plug on them, and now the plate has fallen out. i cant afford a new pair, so what can i do seeing as i have long got rid of the receipt, and box they came in? ? |

As you have had your straighteners for 3 years they will no longer be covered by the warranty.
However ghd do carry out repairs for a small charge, you can contact them directly on 01535 651 500.

Q: I can use my ghd straighteners in European countries but not in the USA are they any cordless ghd's available to buy or could you recommend the next best thing to cordless ghd's.? |

The new GHD IV models have an auto adjust feature which automatically changes to work with different voltages and therefore works in the USA. We also sell a step up transformer plug which will transform the voltage on the older model ghds so that they can work in the USA.

Q: What product works best for protecting my hair from useing a hot straightner everday?Do you think hair exstensions are safe on your hair?I also was wondering what conditioner you would recomend for very dry and damaged hair.I use a blow dryer and hot iron everyday my hair is naturaly curly and bleached.

Always ensure that you use thermal protection spray before you use your hair straighteners. I would recommend that you take a look at GHD thermal protector for dry and damaged hair.
You should also use a good shampoo and conditioner. I would recommend that you try a shampoo and conditioner from the Joico K-Pak range. I would recommend that you use the Joico K-Pak deep reconstructor treatment once a week. You will find these products by selecting Joico from the list of brands on the left hand side of the website.
Hair extensions can be safe but in some cases can also damage your hair. I would recommend that you discuss this further with a hairdresser who can have a look at your hair and discuss the different hair extension options with you. You may also want to look at some of the clip in hair extensions that are widely available at present. |

Q: i got quite heavy hairs i am using a CHS straightner at the moment but its is not that good.i am plannin to buy a new straightner which should be between 80 and 100. can u advice me wot straightner i should buy?? |

Jason Says: Hi there
Our bestselling straighteners are GHDs. They come in 3 sizes, the mini, standard and salon. The Salon styler is recommended for very long, thick hair which may be suitable for you. However if your hair is not very long the standard GHD IV hair straightener may be more suitable, it has a 1inch wide plate.
We also sell corioliss and gama straighteners which I would recommend you take a look at as well. You can find more details on all these straighteners by clicking on their brand names on the left hand side of the website.
